Head Chef
About Morven
Morven is a welcoming, little town with only 255 people, in town and on the properties. We are hoping to advance our town with the additions of more businesses and more fresh friendly faces. As you would need to live relatively close to Morven we can assist you with accommodation and other services if you are requiring a sea change. We have fully furnished single person accommodation available for rent including all utilities in town, at the Pick A Box Motel, or we can assist you in finding a rental property when you move to town.
The Role
We are looking for a Head Chef who can help us transition from a local service station restaurant to a fully fledged pub with American BBQ cuisine which is currently in the building and licensing phase. We would like you to start before the pub is built so we can ensure you are the right person for our team. You will be responsible for your department and report to the Directors. Successful applicants must be flexible with working hours and shifts as our restaurant is open 5am – 10pm daily.

Kitchen Management
Kitchen Staff Management
Support & Training of Kitchen Staff
Ability to work closely with Directors
Essential skills
Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery
Food Safety Certification (desirable)
Resourcefulness, resilience and creative thinking
Excellent customer service
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
A good sense of humour and a positive attitude
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
