About Morven

Morven is a welcoming, little town with only 255 people, in town and on the properties. We are hoping to advance our town with the additions of more businesses and more fresh friendly faces. As you would need to live relatively close to Morven we can assist you with accommodation and other services if you are requiring a sea change. We have fully furnished single person accommodation available for rent including all utilities in town, at the Pick A Box Motel, or we can assist you in finding a rental property when you move to town.

The Role

We are searching for a reliable, responsible and hardworking Business Support Manager for two directors. We currently own and operate three businesses in outback Queensland and we are about to open another. We are looking for someone who can provide all round office and assistance support. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver with knowledge of business and what it takes to run an efficient business. We would like someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and jump in wherever they are needed whether that’s restaurant support, putting away orders or taking meeting minutes. 


What this role involves:

  • General Administration Support across our entities

  • Report preparation

  • Business Proposal preparation

  • Data Entry and Analysis

  • Bookkeeping Support

  • Operational Support

  • Reception Support

  • Diary Management and travel bookings

  • Ad hoc duties as required

  • Ability to work closely with Directors


Essential skills

Strong work ethic

Proven experience with technology and new software

Highly efficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office

Demonstrated Office Administration Experience

Bookkeeping Experience

Resourcefulness, resilience and creative thinking

Excellent customer service

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work in a fast paced team environment

A good sense of humour and a positive attitude

Pride in personal appearance & work


Desirable Skills

Previous operations management experience 

Previous Personal Assistant experience

Social Media management experience 

Xero software experience 

Resume with cover letter outlining relevant experience with each of the essential skills. Minimum of 3 professional references. Police checks are Mandatory
